Visions Along the Platte River Valley :: Nebraska's History as a Narrative Adventure

This is the story of Nebraska. It's told as the story itself unfolded through the years from the Pleistocene to the Present. Each of the CDs in the series covers a segment of Nebraska history. It can be listened to as an individual CD covering a specific part of Nebraska's history, or as a past to present chronology of the entire history of Nebraska. All the CDs are self-complete, hour-long audio adventures in stereophonic sound, and are fully produced with music, authentic sound effects, as well as a cast of players to help Phil Walker in his narration of Nebraska's rich history.

For twenty years, Phil Walker has been telling stories about the American West. His works include; 16 hour-long CDs, two books, and a video that won a “Silver Telly”, the video equivalent of an Oscar.

His “Visions Along the Platte River Valley” series won the 2005 Nebraska Broadcasters Gold Award for service to youth, and his CDs are used by school districts all over the state to teach Nebraska history to 4th graders.
